Artist Bio - Phyllis Wood-Celmer

My experience in various mediums, including pen & ink, watercolor, and traditional film photography, influence my current digital work. I choose what to photograph based on an emotional response to the way light illuminates whatever is around me.

Whether or not I use digital tools to enhance an image is not something I plan ahead of time. The blending techniques and special effects I use in Photoshop are chosen to further my vision for the finished product.

I love to experiment. My current fascination is with my award winning metal surfaces because of the industrial modern feel. I’ve also been exploring the world of antique printing processes to fuse the past and future in my creative imagery.

PAG Meetings

PAG meets every 2nd Tuesday at the Escondido Municipal Gallery from 7pm to 9pm.
 
PAG also has a Photo Salon on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the home of a different member. Check the calendar for details.
